First Ever Tilda Card

Hi everyone,i am not sure about this card ,for one my colouring is terrible with promarkers the face is really bad i think i must be doing this all wrong when i use the blender it makes the face look all patchy,am i using too much of it ?I loved this image with the cake  & these papers which are called sherbet lime papers from card buddy's at cardmaking downloads , i then just used items i had from my own stash ,i am very limited as i dont have a lot of flowers ,ribbon etc..I thought these colours would look good but now i am not so sure ,what do you think good or bad ?and please be honest otherwise i am never going to learn ,any tips greately appreciated  with the colouring.

  1. Your colours look fine Roma, love the combo. With promarkers I found there was a big learning curve and practise makes perfect - I have some tutorials saved on my blog (under tutorials) you may find helpful. Carol x

  2. Hi Roma, your card is very pretty - the papers and image are lovely and the colours work well together. Something I learned recently is the blender pen doesn't really blend as it takes colour away. You can find some great tutorials on line for colouring skin with Promarkers. I still haven't got it right!

  3. Lovely card Roma. Just forget about your blender pen and you'll be ok! It's better the blend using colour. The blender pen removes colour (handy for times when you go over the edges) Ruth x

  4. Hi Roma, Tilda looks lovely. The blender pen is for taking the colour away or for erasing mistakes. As a general rule I pick a light, medium and a dark colour and blend out using these colours, the darkest for your shadows, to medium and then to the lightest. I think Vixykins has some promarker tutorials on her blog, http://vixykins.blogspot.com/p/my-tutorials.html.
    Have a good weekend sweetie.

  7. Hi Roma

I think you have done a great job .. .. faces are so difficult to get to look right .. .. and I still haven't mastered it.

I don't use my blender pen (except for removing bits that have gone where they shouldn't LOL!!).

    Love Jules xx
